About Camp K-9 of Marin

Molly Balla

Camp Director

Certified Pet Care Technician

Molly brings a professional business background to Camp K-9 of Marin with more than a decade of sales and client services experience in the technology industry. In 2002, she enthusiastically switched gears to help open our doors and has been dedicated to Camp K-9 of Marin ever since.

With an unwavering passion for pets of all kinds, Molly has been an active participant in several of the Bay Area's animal organizations, including Pets Unlimited and the San Francisco SPCA. She possesses a rigorous belief that when people and their pets take good care of one another, both can live happier, healthier and more rewarding lives. Her compassion and enthusiasm in working with pets is only surpassed by her steadfast commitment to improving the quality of life for those animals, and ultimately their human companions.

With a degree in marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Molly has lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years. As Camp Director, Molly is responsible for business management, customer service and community outreach programs as well as overseeing daily operations. She lives in Marin with her husband, their daughter and a curiously dog-like cat named Sailor.

Lisa Nicholson

As Front Office Manager Lisa brings with her 14 years experience as a Project Manager in the IT industry, and 5 years experience as an Office Manager.  She is a Southern California native and prefers Northern California!  Animals have been a part of Lisa’s life as far back as she can remember.  Growing up she had a German Shepherd named Scooter, a bird name Herbie, cats Crumpet & Tilly and several bunnies.  Now as a wife and mother of 5 children and a grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter, she has a Flat Coat Retriever named Cooper, cats Echo & Indy and ducks – Cici & Emmy!  Throughout her adult life she has had dogs, cats, horses, goats, cows, chicken, duck, geese, rats, hamsters & guinea pigs.  You can find her most weekends hiking the hills of Marin with Cooper, playing in her swimming pool with Cooper or at one of her kid’s many sports games (usually with Cooper).

Trisha Barnes

Operations Supervisor

Certified Advanced Pet Technician

Growing up, Trisha spent countless hours in 4-H and volunteering with animals, including a 15 year stint at the Marin County Fair Agricultural tent. She's a skilled animal handler that has grown up around, lived with and learned much from dogs, cats, rabbits and a plethora of critters since she was "knee-high to a Pug".

Trisha graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in 2004 and currently lives in Marin with her boyfriend and 3 dogs (Gidget, Pico, and Lucero). Trisha started at Camp in 2005 and her breadth of experience with our Campers is extraordinary. Not only does she provide world-class care for all of our Campers, but is also the informal Camp historian.  AND she's the unlimited talent behind our almost famous, totally amazing Instagram account.
